OVERVIEW

  • Sometimes Members are not able to play golf during the season on their memberships either due to illness or other personal reasons.
  • The Board assists each Member with this process regardless if the Member has identified a buyer or requires assistance in finding a buyer.
  • To facilitate this process, the Board collects both:
    1. Applications to Purchase Annual Memberships and
    2. Applications to Sell Annual Playing Rights.
  • Please note:
    • The playing rights will be sold in the order that the Applications to Sell Annual Rights were received and will be offered to potential buyers in the order the Applications to Purchase Annual memberships were received. 
    • The Board cannot guarantee a prospective Annual Member will be available for all applicants who wish to sell their annual playing rights. 
    • Priority sometimes may have to be given to Members selling rights due to Medical Circumstances.
    • The Playing Rights will be sold in the order that the Applications to Sell Annual Rights were received and will be offered to potential buyers in the order the Applications to Purchase Annual memberships were received.  The exception to this order is where a Member has identified an individual/buyer to purchase their respective playing rights.

The Process:

  • All Members wishing to sell their playing rights should complete the attached form prior to December 15th of each year, confirming they request an Annual Member to be able to use their playing rights.
  • Applications will be accepted after this date, however, keep in mind that most annual buyers of playing rights seek memberships early in the fall.  The later an application to sell playing rights is received may limit the availability of buyers.
  • If your playing rights have not been sold by January 31, payment for the seasons playing fee rights will still be due. 
  • If your playing rights are sold after January 31, you will be refunded the amount of the playing fees received from the buyer, which may be prorated if the golf season has already started.  

Processing Fees to be Paid by Member:

Amount Purpose Comments
$250 Selling Playing Rights Fee To be paid by Member when the Board is reqeusted to find a buyer of their annual playing rights.
$125 Selling Playing Rights Fee To be paid by Member when the Member has found a buyer of their playing rights.
$0 Waiver of Selling Playing Rights Fee Fee will be waived if a waiver request (e.g. medical reasons) is submitted to, and approved by the Board.
$30 Annual Club Membership Fee This fee is to be paid by all Members annually, regardless if the Member is playing golf that year.
